Free Choice:
This semester, you will have the chance to write about any topic (within reason) throughout the semester. Once you pick your topic, you cannot change it without first discussing it with the professor. Each assignment you will explore the topic in slightly different ways, practicing different rhetorical techniques.
You will want to pick a topic that interests you, that has multiple angles, different sides, and is reasonable. Example: you cannot write about the Earth being flat but you can write about the people who believe that the Earth is flat.
